It was around 1466 that the family De Poisieux acquired this castle. The last lord of this powerful family sells the Duchess of Etampes yields in 1545 to Gallois de Bailleul. His widow Jeanne de Sourches resells it to Etienne de Breuil, Master of Requests, lord of Genevraye. It built the castle of La Brosse-Montceaux its current location between the old villages of La Brosse and Montceaux on the side of a hill in the middle of a huge park. Belonging to the family of Paris until the nineteenth century and the Oblates (member of a religious but not monastic community) in the twentieth century, it was restored in the second half of the nineteenth century and today serves family holiday home owned at the Crédit Lyonnais. The input flag is on the other side of the road.
