Le Blanc-Mesnil

- The Castle of Blanc-Mesnil

Le Blanc-Mesnil Castle built by William de Lamoignon, is attested in 1680. It takes the appearance of a building forty-five meters long and ten meters wide by returning at right angles to the front at both ends. Lamoignon family property, the castle was renovated in 1752, but no change in his plan. Then it is still a pleasure, surrounded by large gardens and a large French fleet. The gardens are walled and bordered by a large pond, fed by an arm of the Morea.
The castle is low, but solidly built and sustained four houses covered with slate. There is a floor and the building is surmounted by a steeple. The castle occupies the entire width of the platform longer than eighty five meters wide and surrounded by moats of twenty meters. Two pavilions occupy the northwest corner and southwest of the platform. The platform is preceded on the west front yard of a sixty feet long and fifty meters wide, which is accessed by an entry in the halfpipe.
The castle was sold to Nicolas Dedelay said Delley, Lord of the Guard and Blancmesnil, farmer-general and secretary of the king.
During the Revolution, he was abandoned by Count Pierre Louis Charles Delley, and destroyed. The pilasters of the entrance are reassembled at the entrance of the park-Jacques Duclos.

- The Castle de Beauregard
On the hill of Chaillot, the country seat was purchased by Catherine de Medici in 1583. She went under the name "Château de Chaillot" and was destroyed in 1794.

His History;

Located outside of Paris until the nineteenth century, the hill of Chaillot is chosen by Catherine de Medici in the sixteenth century to house his home craft, acquired by Marshal Bassompierre. Shortly thereafter, the Convent of the Visitation of Holy Mary is high.

Napoleon built a palace on this site dedicated to the King of Rome, in terms of Percier and Fontaine. But the fall of the Empire leads to stop work, only the bridge of Jena is then completed.
In the mid-nineteenth century, instead of Chaillot is fitted and during the exhibition of 1878, Hill hosts a Moorish-style building, the Palais du Trocadero, replaced in 1937 by the current Palais de Chaillot which is facing the tower Eiffel, a remnant of the exhibition of 1900, installed in the middle of the Champs de Mars.
