The Castle of Théméricourt

The Castle of Théméricourt is located in the town of Théméricourt in Val d'Oise department.

The Castle of Théméricourt, probably built by Philip Théméricourt in the second half of the fifteenth century and retains its original plan to two main buildings arranged in a square and flanked by four turrets topped with pepper-pot roofs. This plan addresses the concern angle reject common in isolated buildings. The north and west facades of the castle have retained their original aspect of great severity. They contrast greatly with those open to the park, except the central turret, still marked by classicism.

The castle has evolved since the eighteenth century. The French garden successor, it seems the mid-nineteenth century, a park with a pond fed by Aubette Meulan.
