The castle of Ferrières, located in Seine-et-Marne in the towns of Ferrières-en-Brie to its frame and Pontcarré for its English park has built in 1829 by Joseph Paxton for Baron James de Rothschild. The Castle High from 1855 to 1859, was opened December 16, 1862 by Napoleon III and is considered the most luxurious French chateau of the nineteenth century.

Behind the facade of neo-revival takes up a great staircase, a replica of that of the Crystal Palace Exhibition of 1851 in London.

The sumptuous interior is typical of the eclecticism of the nineteenth century.

The apartments consist of 28 suites, from the beginning had all the comforts of the time with central heating and hot and cold running water.
